A WIP "game" inspired by:

Simple high score feature and Marathon (endless) or Timer mode where you have 60 seconds to start, gain a second if you properly match the expected input, and lose a second if you don't.  Basically just learning some Playdate development and most of the work is done by NobleEngine.

Any and all feature ideas and feedback appreciated!  @iAmChrisTruman

I WANTED to like this game and mechanically it is very solid and fun but the time increases make the game extend forever. Would love more harsh difficulty!

thanks so much for reviewing my game Jordan! Definitely have gotten similar feedback and the game needs a lot of work. Just added an update today with a new logo, graphics, and increased the difficulty.  Working on a two player mode where you will have to pass the play date and whoever messes up first loses.  Appreciate any feedback or other ideas on how I can improve the game!

Big fan of B*p It! so I had to give this one a go.

I like what's here, and I LOVE the idea of the text getting smaller, but it's a bit too easy.  I would love to see a true 'one hit kill' mode like B*p It! had...one mistake and the mode records your score for a game over.  And/Or maybe a more drastic penalty for making a mistake like -10 seconds or something.  I finally just stopped and let the timer run out.

Another idea would be to add in arrow symbols in addition to the up/down/right/left commands to make it even more challenging.  Have the commands speed up over time and missing a command leads to a missing second?

The game could also make use of the microphone (*shout* as a command, but then you may need a 'silent' mode) or even the tilt sensor (tilt back! tilt forward! upside down!)

Just thoughts.  Great idea bringing B*p it! to the Playdate!!!

thanks for trying it out!!! Great ideas, definitely want to increase the difficulty and add more types of actions like accelerometer and microphone, or like press a and crank or other combos

Thanks for all the feedback again!  Finally had some time to work on it and start incorporating some of your ideas. Working on a two player mode so you can "pass" the playdate and challenge each other. Also working on the "one hit mode".  Was super surprised to hear you mention this on Hello Playdate, really appreciate the shout out! Love the podcast!

Fantastic!  No pressure, but I look forward to any additions that might make it to the game sometime.  Thanks so much for listening!
